Tech Support (in-home)

Some tech problems are just hard to fix from a phone tree, and I come to you instead.

Tech Support (in-home)

The Done-Right Promise

If a repair or installation fails within 90 days because of my workmanship, I return and fix it at no additional cost. Parts and materials follow their manufacturer warranty.

Wi-Fi troubleshooting, device connectivity, printer pairing, and patient walk-throughs. The in-home visit that solves the problem.

Some things are hard to fix from a phone tree. When a printer will not pair, the Wi-Fi drops on the far side of the house, or a streaming box keeps logging you out, the fastest path to a fix is someone standing in the room with the device. I can physically inspect the network, check the wiring, and look at the actual hardware instead of walking you through a generic script on hold.

I work with a lot of households in Sun City and the North Valley where a patient, no-jargon visit matters as much as the fix itself. No rushing, no condescension, no making you feel behind. You get a real explanation of what happened and how to avoid it next time.

What I Handle

Wi-Fi Troubleshooting

Dead zones, intermittent drops, slow speeds, and devices that refuse to stay connected. Being in the home means I can walk the signal path, check router placement, and tell you honestly whether a reboot fixes it or the router is simply too old and too slow for the house.

Device Connectivity & Printer Setup

Printers, streaming boxes, smart TVs, tablets, and laptops that will not join the network, will not stay on it, or will not talk to each other. Printer pairing is the classic: a fresh OS update or a new router is all it takes to break it, and I get it back in one visit.

Patient Walk-Throughs

If you want to understand your setup, I will walk you through it. How the router works, what the different devices do, why something keeps asking you to update it. Plain language, no jargon, at whatever pace works for you.

Consultation & Honest Advice

"Is this router still good?" "Should I upgrade this?" "What do I actually need?" Straight answers without selling you something you do not need. If the right answer is a $40 fix from Amazon, I will tell you that.

What It Costs

The $125 minimum service fee covers travel and the first hour on site, which is enough for most tech support visits. Beyond that, I bill $75/hr. Printer setup or device pairing added to any in-home visit is a light add-on at $95 when the visit is primarily for something else.

  • $125 minimum: covers travel + first hour (most visits wrap here)
  • $75/hr beyond the first hour
  • Printer setup / device pairing add-on: $95 on a same-visit booking

Data recovery, deep malware remediation, and enterprise or business-scale IT are not my specialty. I will tell you when that is what the job needs, and point you to the right person.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an in-home tech support visit cost?

The $125 minimum service fee covers travel and the first hour on site, which is enough for most tech support calls. Beyond that, I bill $75/hr. Printer setup or device pairing as an add-on to the same visit is a flat $95.

What kinds of problems do you handle?

Wi-Fi dead zones and intermittent drops, device connectivity (printers, streaming boxes, smart TVs, tablets, laptops), printer pairing after a router change or OS update, streaming device login issues, and general tech consultation. If it plugs in or joins a network, I can probably sort it out.

Why is in-home better than calling a tech support line?

Because I can physically inspect the network, check where the router is sitting, look at the actual device, and walk the signal path through the house. Most phone-tree support assumes you know how to describe the problem in technical terms. I figure it out on the spot.

Do you offer remote or phone support?

My primary service is in-home. For a simple question, call (480) 885-6292 and I will tell you honestly whether a quick phone walk-through can solve it or whether a visit is the right answer.

Will you explain my setup patiently, without making me feel rushed or behind?

That is the whole point. I work with a lot of households in Sun City and the North Valley where a clear, unhurried explanation matters as much as the fix. No jargon, no condescension. If you want to understand what I did and why, I will walk you through it before I leave.

How soon can you come out?

I try to respond within an hour and can often get out same-day or next-day for a straightforward support call. Call or text (480) 885-6292 and I will give you an honest window based on what is on the schedule.

Are there things you do not handle?

Data recovery, deep malware remediation, and enterprise or business-scale IT are not my specialty. I will tell you when that is what the job actually needs, and point you to the right person. I do not take jobs I cannot do well.

What areas do you service?

I am based in Stetson Valley and serve Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, Sun City, Surprise, and the greater Phoenix Valley. Scottsdale is case-by-case. Call (480) 885-6292 with your zip code if you are not sure.
