I can't recommend Joe at HandyMack Tech & Home Services enough! He did an incredible job mounting our TV on our outdoor patio. After unsuccessfully trying to install it myself and drilling several unnecessary holes while searching for the studs, I finally decided it was time to call a professional. Joe responded quickly and was able to help right away. His attention to detail is outstanding, and he truly goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done correctly. He took the time to ensure everything was perfectly aligned, securely mounted, and completed to the highest standards. Joe is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and takes great pride in his work. If you're looking for someone who delivers quality workmanship and exceptional service, I highly recommend HandyMack Tech & Home Services. I will definitely be calling Joe again for future projects!
General Handyman
Every home has a running list of small things that never quite make it to the top of the priority list, and I am the person who comes and clears it.

The Done-Right Promise
If a repair or installation fails within 90 days because of my workmanship, I return and fix it at no additional cost. Parts and materials follow their manufacturer warranty.
Furniture assembly, hardware replacement, picture hanging, pressure washing, filter and battery changes — the everyday fixes that keep a house running.
Every home has a running list of small things that never quite make it to the top of the weekend priority list. Furniture that came in a flat box and still isn't assembled. Pictures propped against the wall. A faucet dripping on its second year. A driveway that Phoenix dust has turned from beige to grey. Stack that list into one visit and I will get through it, the more you batch, the better the value, because the $125 minimum spreads across all of it.
This is general handyman work: the kind of jobs that are each a minor headache on their own and a full afternoon if you are not used to doing them. I bring the tools, the anchors, the fasteners, and the experience to do them right the first time.
What I Handle
Assembly & Installation
Furniture assembly, shelving, blinds, curtain rods, ceiling fan swaps, and TV stands. Flat-pack boxes are welcome. Everything goes up straight, level, and anchored to the wall where it should be.
Hardware Replacement
Door knobs, deadbolts, cabinet hardware, shower rods, towel bars, toilet paper holders, light fixtures (existing box), faucets, and toilet installations. Small jobs that are faster for me than they are for you.
Maintenance Swaps & Repairs
A/C filter changes, smoke and CO detector batteries, weatherstripping, door sweeps, small drywall patches (up to 6"), caulking, and gutter cleaning. These are the Phoenix-season items that pile up before monsoon and summer: I can knock them all in one visit.
Pressure Washing
Driveways, patios, and walkways up to 1,000 sqft. Phoenix dust and monsoon runoff cake onto concrete in ways that a garden hose will not touch. Pressure washing restores the surface surprisingly well and makes the whole exterior look like someone cares about the place.
What It Costs
General handyman is an hourly service with a flat minimum. The $125 minimum service fee covers travel and the first hour on site; after that I bill $75/hr. To give you anchors for common jobs:
- Furniture assembly: $90 per piece
- Picture, art, or mirror hanging: $75
- Shelf install: $95 per shelf
- Curtain rod or blinds: $85 per rod
- Door hardware (knob or deadbolt): $95 per door
- Faucet replacement: $110 (bathroom), $150 (kitchen)
- Toilet installation: $150
- Ceiling fan install (replacing existing): $150
- Light fixture replacement (existing box): $110
- Drywall patch, small (up to 6"): $150
- Pressure washing, driveway up to 1,000 sqft: $175
- Gutter cleaning, single story: $125
- Weatherstripping or door sweep: $95 per door
The key to good value on a handyman visit is batching. If you have a sofa to assemble, two pictures to hang, a door sweep to replace, and a filter to swap, stack them into one trip, the $125 minimum is already covered by the first task, and everything after that comes in at the hourly rate. Cost per task drops the more you stack.
Permitted work, structural changes, large-scale drywall, exterior painting, roofing, HVAC system work, electrical panel work, and main-line plumbing are not in this list, those go to a licensed contractor. For drywall, I do spot patches only, not full sheet or stucco work. I do not pull permits.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do handyman services cost?
My rate is $75/hr with a $125 minimum service fee that covers travel and the first hour on site. Common flat anchors: furniture assembly $90/piece, shelf install $95, door hardware $95/door, light fixture replacement $110, drywall patch (small) $150, pressure washing a driveway (up to 1,000 sqft) $175. Stacking multiple small tasks into one visit spreads the $125 minimum across all of them, so the cost per task drops.
Can I book multiple small tasks in one visit?
Yes, please do. That is the whole idea. The $125 minimum covers the first hour regardless of how many things are on the list, so batching five tasks is a much better deal than five separate visits. Send me your list when you book so I can allow the right amount of time.
Do I need to supply the materials?
For major items (blinds, shelves, fixtures, faucets, hardware), yes, you supply those. I bring all the tools, fasteners, anchors, and small supplies needed to get the work done. If you are unsure what to buy before I arrive, send me a text at (480) 885-6292 and I will point you in the right direction.
What is NOT on the handyman list?
Permitted work, structural changes, large-scale drywall (I do spot patches up to 6", not full sheet or stucco), exterior painting, roofing, HVAC system work, electrical panel work, and main-line plumbing. Those go to a licensed contractor. I will tell you honestly if the job is outside what I do, and point you to the right person.
Is pressure washing worth it in Phoenix, and what is the prep window before monsoon?
It is one of the most visible results I deliver. Phoenix dust, pollen, and hard-water runoff cake onto concrete driveways and patios in a way a garden hose will not move. A pressure wash restores the surface noticeably. The best window is late spring, before the first monsoon, so the clean surface goes into the season instead of getting immediately coated again. I also pair it with gutter cleaning and door sweep replacements as a pre-monsoon batch visit.
Can you do drywall repairs?
Small spot patches, yes. I patch holes and dings up to about 6", the kind left by door handles, old anchors, or minor damage. I do not do large drywall sheets or stucco repair, and I do not paint (I leave the patch ready to prime and paint). If the damage is large, I will tell you and refer you to a licensed drywall contractor.
How quickly can you get out here?
I try to respond within an hour and can often schedule within a day or two for standard handyman work. Pre-monsoon season (May and June) tends to book faster as everyone wants weatherstripping and pressure washing done at once. Text or call (480) 885-6292 and I will give you an honest window.
What areas do you service?
I am based in Stetson Valley and serve Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, Sun City, Surprise, and the greater Phoenix Valley. Scottsdale is case-by-case. Call (480) 885-6292 with your zip code if you are not sure.

What neighbors say
Joe wrote me a resume that was fantastic!!! i sent my old one to him and he had a new revised one the same day!!! i highly recommended services.
My grandma had just moved to Peoria from Chicago and we needed to feel hat she'd be safe with no one out there to be with her. We were recommended Joe at HandyMack Tech and he responded quickly, unlike others. Came out and have a fair quote. To put us at ease, he installed Reolink cameras, set up the app for me and her so we could see from Chicago. Installed some smart fall alert sensors and a view of the camera if there is a fall. Even though we are far away we feel much better about our grandmas safety thanks to Joe!
If you ever need anything done, please contact Joe. He answered my call for help for a broken gate. He arrived exactly when he said he would, was gracious and friendly and did the job with absolute perfection. He will be doing some other things for me as well. It’s hard to find someone you can trust. But when you do, hang on to them, which is exactly what I plan on doing. Thank you again Joe. You’re a lifesaver.
