I can't recommend Joe at HandyMack Tech & Home Services enough! He did an incredible job mounting our TV on our outdoor patio. After unsuccessfully trying to install it myself and drilling several unnecessary holes while searching for the studs, I finally decided it was time to call a professional. Joe responded quickly and was able to help right away. His attention to detail is outstanding, and he truly goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done correctly. He took the time to ensure everything was perfectly aligned, securely mounted, and completed to the highest standards. Joe is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and takes great pride in his work. If you're looking for someone who delivers quality workmanship and exceptional service, I highly recommend HandyMack Tech & Home Services. I will definitely be calling Joe again for future projects!
Security Cameras
Wired PoE camera systems, local NVR recording, and remote viewing on your phone. Installed cleanly, wired properly, configured for real monitoring, no monthly cloud fee.

The Done-Right Promise
If a repair or installation fails within 90 days because of my workmanship, I return and fix it at no additional cost. Parts and materials follow their manufacturer warranty.
Wired PoE camera systems, local NVR recording, and remote viewing on your phone. Wired properly and configured for real monitoring, not just looks, with no monthly cloud fee.
A camera system only earns its cost if you can actually use it: clear footage, remote viewing that works, and cable runs that survive a Phoenix summer. I install wired PoE (Power over Ethernet) systems that keep recording after the first 115-degree week, instead of cheap Wi-Fi cameras that drop offline the moment you need them.
The recording stays on a local NVR in your home, so there is no monthly cloud subscription and your footage never leaves the property unless you choose to turn on remote viewing.
What I Install
PoE Camera Systems
Wired cameras that carry power and video over a single Ethernet run, mounted at the right height with weatherproofed cable entries so monsoon rain does not find its way inside. Reolink-class hardware is what I install most often.
NVR & Local Recording
Network video recorder setup, storage sized to the retention you want, and motion-alert tuning. The footage records locally, so there is no monthly fee to keep the system running.
Remote Viewing on Your Phone
App setup and remote-access configuration, plus a walk-through so you can actually check in from anywhere, not just have it installed and never use it.
Smart-Home Integration
Optional tie-in to your smart home or Home Automation system, so cameras join scenes like away mode and motion-triggered recording instead of living in their own separate app.
What It Costs
Camera installs start at $110 per camera, on top of the $125 minimum service fee that covers travel and the first hour on site. Because the real number depends on how many cameras, where they go, the length of the cable runs, and attic access, I quote the full system up front, so you get one firm price before any work begins.
- Cameras and the NVR are customer-supplied or HandyMack-supplied. Either way, you see the hardware cost on the invoice.
- Larger systems and long exterior or attic cable runs are quoted on inspection.
- Summer attic and crawlspace pulls take longer than they do in winter, and I bill that time honestly rather than pretend it is not there.
PoE cabling is low-voltage work, which is my lane. If a camera location needs a new 120V outlet or a new circuit, that is licensed electrical work I hand off to an electrician. I install; I do not pull permits.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do security camera installations cost?
The $125 minimum covers travel and the first hour on site. Camera installs start at $110 per camera, and because the price depends on how many cameras, where they go, the cable runs, and attic access, I quote the full system up front so you get one firm number before any work begins. A typical 4-camera PoE system runs about a half day.
Do you install wired or Wi-Fi cameras?
Wired PoE (Power over Ethernet). One cable carries both power and video to each camera, which is far more reliable than Wi-Fi cameras for outdoor use, especially in Phoenix heat where wireless signal and battery cameras struggle. Wired cameras keep recording around the clock without dropping offline or needing their batteries charged.
Do I need to buy the cameras and NVR?
Customer-supplied is preferred, and I can also source the system. I install PoE cameras with a local NVR most of the time, Reolink-class hardware being the usual pick: clear footage, no subscription, and the recording stays on your property.
Is there a monthly fee, or does my footage go to the cloud?
No monthly fee. Your footage records to a local NVR in your home, not to someone else's cloud, so there is nothing to subscribe to and the video stays on your property. You can still turn on remote viewing from your phone if you want it; that is your choice, not a requirement.
Can I view my cameras from my phone?
Yes. App setup and remote-access configuration are part of the install. I also walk you through the app so you can use it, not just install it.
How many cameras do I need, and where should they go?
Most single-family homes are well covered by a four-camera system: the front entry, the driveway or garage approach, a side gate, and the back yard. During the walk-through I look at your entry points, sightlines, and blind spots and tell you honestly where cameras earn their keep and where they would not add much.
How does Phoenix heat and monsoon affect the install?
Attic and crawlspace cable runs in summer take noticeably longer than in winter, and I bill that time honestly. Outdoor cameras get proper weatherproofing at the cable entries so monsoon rain does not work its way inside the wall.
What areas do you service?
I am based in Stetson Valley and serve Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, Sun City, Surprise, and the greater Phoenix Valley. Scottsdale is case-by-case. Call (480) 885-6292 with your zip code if you are not sure.

What neighbors say
Joe wrote me a resume that was fantastic!!! i sent my old one to him and he had a new revised one the same day!!! i highly recommended services.
My grandma had just moved to Peoria from Chicago and we needed to feel hat she'd be safe with no one out there to be with her. We were recommended Joe at HandyMack Tech and he responded quickly, unlike others. Came out and have a fair quote. To put us at ease, he installed Reolink cameras, set up the app for me and her so we could see from Chicago. Installed some smart fall alert sensors and a view of the camera if there is a fall. Even though we are far away we feel much better about our grandmas safety thanks to Joe!
If you ever need anything done, please contact Joe. He answered my call for help for a broken gate. He arrived exactly when he said he would, was gracious and friendly and did the job with absolute perfection. He will be doing some other things for me as well. It’s hard to find someone you can trust. But when you do, hang on to them, which is exactly what I plan on doing. Thank you again Joe. You’re a lifesaver.
