About · HandyMack™ Tech Services

One person, one truck, done right.

I’m Joe Machynia. I run HandyMack out of Stetson Valley in northwest Phoenix — a tech-first home services shop for folks who want the same person quoting the job to be the one doing it.

The Machynia family — the face behind HandyMack Tech Services.

The same person quotes it, does it, and stands behind it.

HandyMack Tech Services was built on a simple idea: you shouldn’t have to overpay for straightforward work. Big-box services and national franchises charge premium prices for basic installs, then send a random subcontractor who may or may not know what they’re doing. That never sat right with me.

I’m Joe Machynia — the owner, the technician, and the handyman. When you book HandyMack, the person who gives you the quote is the same person who shows up, does the work, and stands behind it. No call centers, no middlemen, no surprises.

I combine real technical depth — network engineering, smart home platforms, PoE camera systems, home theater calibration — with hands-on home services: TV mounting, aging-in-place upgrades, appliance installs, and everyday handyman work. Most companies make you hire two different people for those two worlds. Here, it’s one visit, one pro, one bill.

Four things I don’t compromise on.

One Person, One Truck

The person quoting the job is the person doing the job. No subcontractors.

Transparent Pricing

$125 minimum, then $75/hr — quoted before I start, so no surprises or hidden fees.

The Done-Right Promise

If my workmanship fails within 90 days, I come back and fix it at no charge.

Tech + Trades Under One Roof

Smart home, networking, and A/V installs alongside aging-in-place upgrades, appliance installs, and handyman work.

Proof, not pitch
If it wouldn’t work for my family, it doesn’t get installed in yours.

My house runs on the same stack I install for clients — 250+ devices on Home Assistant, a TrueNAS server in the closet, mesh Wi-Fi covering every corner of the yard, PoE cameras on the perimeter, and enough automations that the lights, locks, and climate mostly take care of themselves. My wife and kids live with the consequences of every decision I make about reliability, privacy, and what happens when the internet drops.

That’s not a marketing line. It’s why I won’t sell a setup I wouldn’t trust to run while I’m out of town with the family.

Where I work

Stetson Valley, Peoria, Glendale, Sun City, Surprise, and the Phoenix metro.

Based in the Deer Valley area of northwest Phoenix. Scottsdale is case-by-case — call (480) 885-6292 and I’ll see if the drive makes sense for what you need.

The Done-Right Promise

90-day workmanship guarantee on everything I install.

If something I built or mounted fails within 90 days because of the work itself, I come back and fix it at no charge — parts and materials follow their manufacturer warranty. It’s the same promise I’d want from the person working on my own house.

Honest scope

HandyMack is not a licensed contractor. Electrical panel work, main-line plumbing, structural changes, roofing, HVAC system work, permitted jobs, exterior painting, and large-scale drywall fall outside what I do — I’ll point you to a trusted local specialist. What I do covers the tech, the mounts, the fixtures, and the everyday repairs — all backed by the Done-Right Promise above.
